The Conservation and Management of the Living Resources of the High Seas: The Impact of the 1995 United Nations Agreement on the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea relating to the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks

Chris Hedley

June 1996

This piece of work was submitted as the final year dissertation for a law degree at Bristol University in 1996. It is approximately 12,000 words long and examines the situation before the Straddling Stocks Conference, and the background leading up to the Agreement, as well as examining and assessing the provisions of the Agreement itself. Unfortunately, it is only available for downloading in Microsoft Word 7.0 format. (Size: 325K). I have, however, made the Synopsis and table of contents available for viewing on-line. Please also note that I unfortunately managed to lose the final disk of the dissertation, and so the version available here is not actually the final version that was submitted. There are therefore a number of errors. However, most of these are last minute editing changes, and the substance is generally the same.
