International Fisheries Law and Policy Portal
The International Fisheries Law and Policy Portal (IFLPP) is a
new flagship project for Ocean Law. The major objective of the
project is to bring together, in a single user-friendly interface, a
complete series of publications, research resources and tools which
enable comprehensive, simple and current access to essential
information for the fisheries practitioner and researcher.
The major components of the project include:
(1) developing the
Internet Guide to International Fisheries Law by extending and
updating content;
(2) developing a series of new resources, with a practitioner and
researcher focus, including: a journal (International Fisheries Law
and Policy Review), a current developments periodical (Current
Developments in International Fisheries Law) and a reference work
(International Fisheries Agreements);
(3) developing research systems to maintain, develop and update
the resources on a regular basis and for the long-term; and
(4) providing these resources in a single user-friendly website using modern website design and accessibility standards. This project also represents a major investment for Ocean Law, and
is being developed at a total project cost of more than £150,000.
