Perspectives for the UN Fish Stocks Agreement

Study by OceanLaw for the European Parliament's Committee on Fisheries, examining the current state of implementation of the UN Fish Stocks Agreement, both at the RFMO level and the flag/coastal State level, and assessing its impact in improving high seas fisheries management. The report also takes account of the 2006 Review Conference.

OceanLaw Consultants provided programme support to the High Seas Task Force on IUU Fishing (HSTF) work on port State and flag State controls, developed a methodology to assess flag State performance in addressing IUU fishing and carried out an indicative evaluation using the methodology.

Framework Contract on Fisheries Partnership Agreements (FPAs)

OceanLaw participated in the first European Commission Framework Contract for Performing Evaluations, Impact Analyses and Monitoring Services in the Context of Fisheries Partnership Agreements (FPAs), a project led by Poseidon ARM (United Kingdom), MegaPesca (Portugal) and Oceanic Développement (France). OceanLaw contributed to the analyses concerning agreements with northern European countries (Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway).
